So can I assume your computer uses a direct wired network connection to the modem, and that the modem itself has a cable/fiber/etc. when i click join to play a game it says connecting to byond and then it says connection closed it does this with every game i think it might be byond having prolems but other people are playing on games so it isnt that byond has a problem please help. However I should point out that if any part of your connection from computer to modem uses WiFi, it's still in play. (See BYOND Networking for more information.) Connection closed. If it's upstream it may be limited to certain servers only. Does this happen on all SS13 servers, or just a specific few?Īll servers have the same proplem (including other games)Ģ) A network problem at your ISP or upstream has prevented you from making the connection. It might still appear on the hub temporarily, but could be down. With that in mind, there are several possibilities:ġ) The server is down. Since the latter is rare, I'm guessing when you say "log in" you mean "attempt to join", and you've never actually successfully gotten to the logged-in stage. "Connection failed" means it was literally impossible to establish a connection, or that one was established and failed without a proper exit code.
